Patricia A. Johnson
       Patricia A. "Patty" Johnson, age 71, of Silver Creek
passed on early Wednesday morning, Dec. 7, 2011 at Lake
Shore Hospital in Irving, NY.
 She was born Sept. 11, 1940
in Silver Creek, NY the daughter of the late Phyllis (Sutter)
Gullo.
       A Chautauqua County resident all of her life, Patty
worked on many different Silver Creek fundraisers. She was
proud of her participation in the "Dining Car Project" and
volunteered for the Grape Festival for over 35 years.
       She had been a Den Mother for the Mt. Carmel Cub
Scouts, Troop 252; helped with the Sheridan Boy Scouts
Troop 243, and was very active with the Little League and
Senior League of Silver Creek, where she was a former
board member. Her hobbies included cooking and attending
auctions with her husband.
       Patty graduated from Mt. Carmel Grade School in
Silver Creek and Cardinal Mindszenty High School, Class of
1959. She was a past member of the Silver Creek Fire Dept.
Ladies Auxiliary.
       Survivors include her husband of 51 years, John H.W.
Johnson; her two sons, John H.W. Jr. (Carol) Johnson of
Lackawanna, NY and Todd H. (Linda DeFries) of Forestville;
four grandsons, John H.W. III (Christine) Johnson, Nicholas
P. Johnson, Michael Edmunds and Gavin DeFries; and one
great-grandson, Parker B. Johnson.
       Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by
her Uncle Herbert Emminger, who raised her; two aunts,
Marcella Sutter and Gertrude Emminger; and a grandson,
Jacob R. Johnson.
       Prayers will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at 9:30
a.m. from the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel in Silver Creek
followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our
Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Silver Creek. Interment will be
in the Mt.
Carmel Cemetery, Silver Creek. The family will be
present today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
       Memorial contributions may be made to the Silver
Creek Emergency Squad or the Silver Creek Fire Dept.
