Sara Rose "Sally" Livecchi
   Sara Rose "Sally" Livecchi, 88, of Silver Creek died
peacefully on Oct. 11, 2011 at Father Baker Manor in
Orchard Park.
 Sally was born Feb. 4, 1923 in Irving, NY,
the daughter of the late Philip and Marianina (Zanghi)
Azzarella.
       A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Silver
Creek High School, Class of 1941, where she lettered as a
guard on the basketball team.
       Married in 1941, Sally was a devoted housewife and
followed her husband to Washington, D.C., where he was
stationed in the
Navy during World War II. They then made
their home in Los Angeles, Calif., for several years.
Upon returning to Western New York, they settled into a
long and happy life in Silver Creek, NY.
       While raising her children, she worked at several
locations in Silver Creek - the canning factory, Van Raalte,
Niagara Therapy
and Remtronics. In her later years, they
bought a second home in Lakeland, Fla., and began the
annual trek.
       Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Rosalie
Livecchi of Bayville, NJ; son Ronald (Lynn) Livecchi of
Orchard Park; a sister, Ann Kraus of Gowanda; six
grandchildren, Lisa M. Ball, Gary M. (Shawn) Livecchi,
Crista and Melissa A. Livecchi, Eva M. (Jeff)
Pulinsky and
Courtney L. Livecchi; and a great granddaughter,
Alexandra Ball.
       In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death
by her husband of more than 55 years, Samuel P.
Livecchi; two brothers,
Philip and James Azzarella; a
sister, Patrina Chido; her son, Colonel Samuel G.
Livecchi; and a granddaughter, Andrea Livecchi.
       Prayers will be held Monday, Oct. 17, 2011 at 9:30
a.m. from the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central
Ave., Silver Creek followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at
10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Silver Creek.
Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Silver Creek.
The family will be present Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011 from 2-4
and 6-8 p.m.

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Silver Creek.
